AI watches toddler YouTube all day, so your child sees only human-made shows.
AI-made videos are being pushed to toddlers, and YouTube has no off switch yet. Toddler Turing samples kids’ channels every day, scores the signs of AI generation, and keeps a human-made allowlist you load into YouTube Kids. A paid parent reviewer checks the borderline channels.
- Step 01
Watches new kids’ channels every day
Agents sample new and trending channels aimed at under-6s and score AI signals: the voice, animation artefacts, upload pace and channel age.
- Step 02
A parent checks the borderline ones
Channels that are hard to call go to a paid parent reviewer before they can enter the allowlist.
- Step 03
You load the list into YouTube Kids
A one-time guide sets up approved-content-only mode, and the list is updated every week by age and topic.
Built for parents of 2 to 7 year olds.
The human-made allowlist
Kids’ channels made by people, sorted by age and topic, updated every week.
A one-time setup guide
Step by step, how to switch on YouTube Kids’ approved-content-only mode and load the list.
The monthly block list
The new AI-slop channels worth blocking, sent once a month.
First up: We start with a free list of the top 50 human-made toddler channels.
The world just changed.
What changed, and where it was reported.
In a Fairplay letter, about 200 organisations and experts asked YouTube to label AI content, ban it from YouTube Kids and give parents an off switch, after a NYT investigation into AI videos for toddlers.
TubefilterYouTube says it limits AI content in YouTube Kids to a small set of channels and is building labels, with no timeline. Labels are only required for realistic content.

What a person does
A paid parent reviewer checks every borderline channel before it joins the allowlist. A small animator who is wrongly flagged as AI can appeal and have the channel looked at again.
What if YouTube adds its own ‘no AI’ switch?
Then use it. YouTube has announced labels with no date, and they only cover realistic content. If a real off switch ships, our list becomes a simpler curated guide.
Could you mislabel a real animator?
It can happen, and it hurts small creators. Borderline channels get a human check first, and any creator can appeal a call we got wrong.
Do I need a special app?
No. The list works with YouTube Kids’ own approved-content-only mode. If YouTube changes how that mode is set up, we update the guide.
